Day 1: Magaliesburg Canopy tour or Spa

What it is:

One of the best ways to experience the beauty of this ancient mountain range, the Magaliesberg is
regarded as one of the oldest on earth! Glide over the awe-inspiring gorges strapped up in your
harness, during this fun-filled event.

Fit for grannies, children and those suffering from vertigo.Completely safe!If you really feel this is not your cup of tea, opt for a spa-treatment or laze at the swimming-pool at the adjacent hotel instead.

What to see/ do/ experience:

Introduction and safety regulations, don your gliding gear and depart to the kick-off point enjoying the spectacular scenery. Glide through 9 stretches, be transported back and watch your action-video while having a light meal at the pub.

Day 2: Cradle of Humankind & Lesedi Cultural Village (Full Day):

What it is:

If you want to know how humans developed, visit the Cradle of Humankind area for a
gripping experience. This World Heritage site is one of the richest fossil-sites in the world.
Remains of the past were dug up, pieced together and studied by scientists to rewrite the
ancient history of humankind. At the Sterkfontein Caves the oldest, most complete human skeleton was discovered, and we can view the excavation site where things are still happening.

Close by is Maropeng, built in the form of a huge, ancient burial mound (the Tumulus). It is an underground exhibition space that brings the history of humankind come to life by way of exciting activities that are entertaining, educational and interactive. Learn more about the major South African indigenous tribes in a short time at Lesedi Cultural Village.

Maropeng:

Go on an underground boat ride through the elements of the world and partake in the interactive display.

Sterkfontein Caves:

Underground guided tour of the caves and its silent lake.Visit the excavation site.

Lesedi Cultural Village:

Meet the different tribes of South Africa: the fierce Zulus, colourful Ndebeles and pipe-smoking
Xhosas. Learn more about the fascinating traditions at their respective households. Enjoy a vibrant dance show where African drumbeats will reverberate in your heart. End the show with an exquisite African feast.

Day 3: Hartebeespoortdam (Half day):

What it is:

The Hartebeespoortdam is one of the most beautiful man-made lakes on the continent and
many attractions dot its shores.There are strawberry and citrus farms, art galleries, antique shops, reptile parks, cheesemakers, game-farms, cable-car rides, coffeeshops, pubs and restaurants galore.
One of the highlights in the boat-cruise on the lake with music and a three-course meal (3
hours).

What to see/ do/ experience:
Cheese-making demonstration and –tasting.Citrus-wine tasting and presentation.
Optional: Strawberry-picking and –eating (in season Oct- Dec)
