Spiritual Tours
CULTURAL/SPIRITUAL SOUTH-AFRICA
11 Nights & 12 Days Overland
BACKGROUND
South Africa, the ‘rainbow nation’ with its turbulent history of various cultures having made their home here (African, Asian and Western) is one of the most spiritual countries in the world. The challenges the population has to grapple with on a daily basis: poverty, crime, and conflict, has prompted a massive turn to religion many ways and manifestations: in the white Afrikaner churches, packed every Sunday to the brim; the African Zionist Christian Church-groups gathered under trees; the lively township churches singing and dancing away; the serene mosques and Hindu temples that dot the cities; the daily opportunities to reach out to the sick, the poor and the hungry….
It is our belief that South Africa is increasingly going to be the global centre of people coming to seek and find meaning and signficance in their lives and reconnect to God that lives in us all.
